to at least get into the camping and partying area and
have some fun.
I didn't try to get into 'Centeroo' to see any shows. Maybe i'm cheap
but I just
wanted to be on the scene and $250 was a bit high just for getting on
the grounds.
expedition to get around the massive new security perimeter
that separates you at by least 1/2 mile
or more from even getting near the campground and vending area. This
took a little observation,
crawling thru a wooded creek, poison ivy and a HEAVY DOSE of luck (in the form of a lucky
dobbshead)

Here
is an overhead map of the Bonnaroo area.
It is a composite of satellite pics i found online and a camping map
from 2003 overlaid on top.
The camping area is highlighted in colors, the 2004 and NEW 2005 entrance
points are marked.
The path i took to get into the party is marked with a line marked "Start"
and "End"
This is the path down the creek, thru some backyards, across an area
patrolled by
'SUV binocular guys' and into an open are behind the radio tower.
From there is was a mad dash across the long-ass field to the place
where the fence was flopping down at the "end" point ....
Whew!!!
The whole time i was carrying a "Lucky Bob Dobbs Face" Icon
for my Subgenius friends to recognize me by.
I actually think the perpetually grinning, pipe smoking and unconcerned
Bob face icon i carried thru the creek, etc ..
was the only thing that gave me the strength to get the hell in there.
